How do i CHMOD a file or folder?
Answer
You can CHMOD a file or folder using FTP.
Please ensure your files are CHMODDED to:
A minimum chmod of 641 for directories, 640 for files and 644 for .htaccess files,
You can use the File Manager inside your control panel to FTP connect to your web site and change the CHMOD of files.
File Manager
1) Log into your control panel
2) Choose FTP accounts
3) Choose File Manager
4) use the TIC box to select the files/folder you want to CHMOD
6) Click the CHMOD button in the top left corner of Net2FTP.
7) Select the CHMOD settings you want
8) Choose the green Tic Submit button (accesskey v)
Using a FTP client (SmartFTP or FileZilla are 2 good free ones)
1) Connect to your web site
2) Right click on the folders/files you want to change the CHMOD
3) Choose CHMOD
